TELUS — CIO Product Operations

Software Engineer
  • Standardized CIO Office workflows for 3,000 employees, driving a transition toward a product-centric operating model, by engineering an enterprise full-stack platform.
  • Achieved resilient, production-grade deployment onto Kubernetes (GKE) by building the platform's Next.js and TypeScript architecture and automating CI/CD provisioning via Terraform and GitHub Actions.
  • Delivered contextual operational advice within the platform by integrating a Claude-powered RAG recommender, grounding its responses in an automated ETL data layer spanning 5 distributed enterprise databases.
  • Guided major strategic decisions for VPs and upper management by surfacing aggregated telemetry in panoramic executive dashboards, driving the platform's continuous adoption to 230+ active users.

Royal Bank of Canada — Global Networking

Technical Systems Analyst Co-op
  • Helped maintain 99.9%+ uptime of global network infrastructure serving 19M+ clients across 30+ countries; analyzed telemetry from 1,000+ devices to drive a 25% reduction in mean incident resolution time.
  • Automated 30+ recurring operational workflows with Python and Bash, cutting manual workload by 40% for a 15-person engineering team.
  • Built network automation apps in NetBrain to audit device configurations across multi-vendor devices, parsing CLI output with custom templates and generating CSV compliance reports.

York University — Athletics & Recreation

Operations Representative Team Lead
  • Led a team of 45 staff serving 5,000+ weekly visitors; built training materials that cut new-hire ramp-up time by 20%.

About

readme

I'm a software engineer who's always learning and loves building things. At TELUS I was handed a blank repo and shipped a production platform — the React frontend, the BigQuery data layer, the Kubernetes deployment, the CI/CD pipeline, the security posture — that the organization still runs on today.

Before that I worked on the infrastructure keeping 19 million banking clients online at RBC, which taught me what production reliability actually costs and how to automate the toil around it.

I'm finishing my degree at Lassonde School of Engineering with a specialization in Data Science, so I'm equally at home designing an API contract, tuning a SQL query, or wiring an LLM to live data with output it can't hallucinate around. What I care about is the same in every case: software that real people depend on.

Let's build something together

open to opportunities

I'm entering my final year and looking for teams that ship real software to real users. If that's you, I'd love to talk.
